What We Do
Unlocking Our Futures aims to help every person who has experienced prison, gain the support, skills and opportunities they need to have a future where they thrive.
Pathways Program

Finding employment after incarceration can be challenging. Navigating job applications, interviews, housing, transportation, technology, and the many demands of daily life can feel overwhelming—especially when you’re trying to rebuild stability and create a new future.
Our Employment Support Program provides individualized support designed to help people move toward meaningful employment and long-term success in the community.
Rather than a one-size-fits-all program, we work alongside participants to understand their strengths, goals, barriers, and aspirations. Together, we develop a plan that focuses on employment readiness, practical problem-solving, and building the confidence needed to succeed.
- Employment planning and job readiness
- Resume development and interview preparation
- Goal setting and action planning
- Referrals to housing, health, and community services
- Assistance navigating technology and online applications
- Ongoing encouragement, coaching, and accountability
- Access to work experience and employment opportunities through our social enterprise and employer partners
Participants receive regular check-ins and tailored support while pursuing employment, training, and other personal goals. Our approach recognizes that employment is often just one piece of a larger journey toward stability.
Whether you’re looking for your first job after release, building confidence, or working through barriers to employment, we’re here to help.

KeepSafe Storage

Facing prison can be a very stressful and uncertain time. Know your personal possessions and key documents will be secure, with KeepSafe Storage.
In partnership with Corrective Services NSW, we secure people’s property and identification documents as they enter prison, and return them on release. It’s a vital service for people who have no other support or family in the community.
Over the past 5 years alone, we’ve assisted over 1500 people and we currently store property for over 400 people in NSW prisons.

Employment Works

A living wage brings dignity, purpose, and a pathway away from recidivism. That’s why we created our social enterprise, Employment Works.
We deliver a range of commercial services—including waste removal and diversion (paper cups, towels, pallets, milk and bread crates, and more), pressure cleaning, furniture removal, graffiti removal, and painting—while creating meaningful employment pathways.
By diverting waste from landfill and supporting sustainable practices, we generate both environmental and social impact. This model builds skills, strengthens confidence, and creates real opportunities for people to earn, contribute, and thrive.
Employment Works paid more than $375,000 in wages – helping people get back on their feet, find housing and gain valuable work experience.
Employment Works provided 13,588 hours of employment to people who have left prison.
Employment Works diverted over 425 tonnes of coffee cups and paper towels (PEF waste) away from landfill.
Employment Works recycled over 13.5 tonnes of polystyrene.
Employment Works provides services to amazing clients including Mirvac, Bingo Industries, Remondis, Lend Lease, AMP, Investa, Doyle Brothers, Sydeny Waste Services, CBRE, and Westpac.
